About Me
Hi! I'm Elaine Jalleh, a Senior Speech Therapist with 9 years of experience in Singapore.
I grew up with my sister Claire, who is now an energetic and sociable young adult with Intellectual Disability. My experience piqued my interest in special education and I started volunteering then working as a relief teacher at a local Early Intervention Programme in 2012.
I graduated with a BSc in Speech Pathology from Curtin University in 2016, and have worked with children, teens and adults with disabilities or neurodevelopmental needs in hospitals, homes, schools and therapy clinics.
I believe that children and teens learn best when they feel safe, connected and enjoy the process. It is important to tap on their strengths and interests, and for therapists to celebrate wins - no matter how small - with their support system along the way. I love music, and if my students do too, you can find me singing while strumming my guitar or tinkering on the piano!

We are so grateful for the support Elaine has given our family. Our children (ages 6 and 10) had at home sessions with Elaine from July 2025 to January 2026. Our boys were struggling with pronunciation and poor social communication skills. They were really struggling to connect with other children, and, after repeated misunderstandings, my older boy had become very depressed and withdrawn. Elaine arrived and quickly started to work her magic. She has a real gift for connecting with children. Her sessions were always encouraging, engaging, and tailored to each child’s needs, which helped my sons to feel comfortable and motivated to try.
Elaine gave my children space to talk to her about what was important to them and before long the words were just pouring out. Their confidence has grown so much, and through her skilled use of well-timed and respectful corrections, it’s been wonderful to hear clearer speech and see them express themselves more easily. She provided gentle guidance regarding behaviour when communicating, including how to handle misunderstandings for a positive outcome, and struck a careful balance between time sitting still and time for skipping around the room to get the wiggles out.
